AVT remembers ALL that have served our country in uniform, those that have fallen in battle and those that have gone on to live long productive lives and have left us. We remember AVT honorees and their families that we have lost.

Phyllis Eason Galanti, wife of AVT honoree Paul Galanti. Mrs. Galanti passed away in April 2014.
This photo records Galanti’s return from Vietnam as a Prisoner of War. Phyllis had led the way towards POW awareness for her husband and others.
Carl J. Nelson passed away at the age of 95 in February 2014. The Army veteran was involved in all 3 D-Day Landings. He was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Pearl Harbor survivor Dallas Jones passed away just one day after the 72nd anniversary of the WWII surprise attack on December 8, 2013. The Navy veteran was 90 years old.
This young Dallas Jones went on to found the Roanoke Valley Veterans Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
